Malaysian Lego-fanatic crafts working Ferrari 250 GTO
Ming Thein, a photojournalist, theoretical physicist and Lego-lover has created a perfect miniature of vintage favourite the Ferrari 250 GTO using a clever combination of specially-made pieces.
The awe-inspiring creation not only looks the part, but actually works like the real thing too thanks to its fully functioning steering, suspension, V12 engine, 3-speed gear box and headlights.
Maker Ming, who has a track history of building astonishingly lovely classic cars in Lego, cited the 250 as a particularly tricky project ‘owing to the large number of body curves and old drive train layout’.
He also branded it ‘harder to build than the (Bugatti) Veyron’ - another recent project of his.
